Ahmad Aghaei, or pistachio with pistachios, is one of the types of Iranian long pistachios, and the characteristics of this type can be described as almond-shaped and long. Ahmad Aghaei’s pistachio is known as aristocratic and Majlisi pistachio in Iran, and it is considered one of the important components of the composition of Majlisi nuts on Eid night and special events. Akbari pistachio, also known as Abdullahi pistachio, is another popular and well-known type of pistachio around the world.
Both pistachios are somewhat similar in appearance, but the Akbari pistachio is slightly taller and has a more smiling face than the Aghaei pistachio. In terms of taste, both are equally delicious. Both have a noble and beautiful appearance and are used for special occasions.
What is the difference between Akbari and Ahmed aghaei?
One of the major differences between Akbari pistachios and Ahmad Aghaei is the surface color of their pistachios. The surface color of Akbari pistachio nut is purple-brown, while the surface color of Ahmad Aghaei pistachio nut is bright red to purple. Also, the color of Akbari’s pistachio shell is dark cream and the color of Ahmad Aghaei’s pistachio shell is bone white.
Keeping pistachio
Unlike Ahmad Aghaei, Akbari pistachio trees cannot be harvested every year and face an annual phenomenon. This issue is one of the significant disadvantages of this type of pistachio in Rafsanjan. Akbari pistachio trees must go through a certain period of winter cold and if this is not done in winter, they will not have optimal and effective processing.
